Stream: Sons & Daughters' 'Mirror Mirror'
With their folk-rock beginnings behind them, Sons & Daughters are ready to show off a new direction on their fourth album, Mirror Mirror. It was produced by JD Twitch, one half of DJ duo Optimo, and has been described as "quite haunting and feminine" by frontwoman Adele Bethel. That's a pretty spot-on description as the 10-track album, even at its poppiest on tracks like "Orion," has a lingering, creepy air about it. And opener "Silver Spell" is probably the most horror movie-ready cut, though, with its minimalist, tribal drums and eerie synthesizers.
