The Chinese calendar might tell you 2009 is the Year of the Ox, but it’s beginning for all the world to look like the Year of the Phoenix. After nearly achieving pop perfection on this year’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, French pop impresarios Phoenix are already back with the Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (Remix Collection), which is now streaming on CBS Radio’s website. Remix albums can often run the gamut between poorly conceived ideas and stopgap cash-in measures, but this one genuinely feels like a star-studded cast of skilled artists happily sinking their teeth into some top-notch material. agreed. a couple of these are seriously killer, the alex metric and anco remixes especially.
