Stream: Hudson Mohawke’s Janet Jackson, Gucci Mane, Aaliyah Edits

This past July, Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke seemingly randomly uploaded a series of edits to some of his favorite R&B and hip-hop joints. They included synth-heavy takes on Gucci Mane’s “Party Animal” and Jodeci’s “Freek’n You,” both of which were equally warped and party-ready.

And now, it’s been revealed that they weren’t so random after all. Apparently, Hud Mo is selling an EP of his choice edits as part of the Pleasure EP.  He’s also letting us stream them all in case we don’t have the cash to cop the limited-release project just yet, which means you’ll need to have a laptop or iPhone nearby for the festivities this Labor Day weekend.

You can stream the edits below and buy them here. Other featured tracks include Hud Mo’s take on Keri Hilson and Lil Wayne’s “Turnin’ Me On,” Aaliyah’s “Are U That Somebody,” and Janet Jackson’s “The Pleasure Principle.”
