Stream Deltron 3030’s Album ‘Deltron 3030: Event II’

The last time Deltron 3030- the trio of Souls of Mischief’s Del Tha Funky Homosapien, producer Dan the Automator and turntablist Kid Koala- released an original body of work was back in 2000 with their self-titled debut. Fast forward 13 years later and the trio have finally released their followup Deltron 3030: Event II.

If you’re expecting some nostalgia with boom-bap swirls, you may be slightly disappointed. Deltron 3030: Event II takes place in a ransacked future where technology and economic despair has taken over, “eroding society as people began to collapse.” The album tells the tale of the return of Deltron Zero and Automator.

Besides that the album narrows rap into a rock-opera styled scope, which should come to no surprise considering the album’s utopian-like storyline. It also boasts an extensive list of features including Damon Albarn, Mike Patton, Zach De La Rocha, Jamie Cullum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, David Cross, Amber Tamblyn, and David Chang.
