Curtis Cross, under the moniker Black Milk, boasts an impressive repertoire, working with hiphop legends Slum Village, J Dilla, and Canibus. He has also done an unlikely collaboration with Jack White and entirely produced the collaborated Black and Brown EP with Danny Brown.
Last week he released the details to his forthcoming effort No Poison No Paradise, releasing audio snippets and revealing its release date, October 15, and boastful list of talents: Black Thought, Robert Glasper, Dwele, Quelle Chris, and more. He also mentioned that he will be returning to Europe in November, likely in support of a tour for the album.
The Detroit producer has now released the artwork for No Poison No Paradise as well as a new single: "Perfected on Puritan Ave." The track can be streamed below via Black Milk's Computer Ugly Soundcloud account. Whimsical bells and loopy synths guise Black Milk's introspective and dark monologues, before changing into a sparse and sporadic jazz freakout. View the artwork above and stream the track below.
