Last summer, we shed some light on Big Freedia and New Orleans sissy bounce when the New York Times caught on to the expanding scene. Since then, though, we haven't heard too much from the scene, which is driven by uptempo grooves, ample amounts of bass, and crowd-friendly raps. That was until Freddia dropped off her first proper project, an EP presented by ScionAV, a few days ago. If you have seen her name elsewhere (or on the Fix) and wondered what all the hubbub is about, consider this your introduction to Freddia and sissy bounce. This can also serve as a second serving (or third, in my case) of caffeine as these beats are absolutely fucking nuts.
