The trio that makes up Battles likely have an excellent record-collection. You can probably tell this from the eclectic, math-rock that they create to bend genres and destroy preconceptions. Now the boys have dropped a compilation of remixes from tracks on their 2011 full-length, Gloss Drop, that only further showcases the three’s exceptional taste.
The remix album playfully titled, Dross Glop, showcases an excellent array of choices for remixing duties including heavy-hitters like The Field and Gui Boratto to Seattle post-hip-hop duo Shabazz Palaces. This will likely be on repeat for the rest of your evening. [The Fader]
