After visiting other spots of the color wheel with 2007's Red Album and 2009's Blue Record, Savannah, Georgia's Baroness return with their LP Yellow and Green next week, on July 17. Before then, however, you can stream the album in its entirety thanks to NPR's First Listen series.
Totaling 75 minutes and sequenced to play like two separate records, Yellow and Green is marked with both especially potent hooks and plenty of tangential instrumental passages, not to mention all the heaviness we've come to expect from these guys. All told, it sounds like one of the best metal records of the year so far and should make some serious waves once it's officially released. Go here to listen.
