Stream A Rare Madlib & Kazi EP From 1996
Here's a nice treat for all you Madlib fans who have been following the Beat Konducta since his days with Lootpack. Actually, this is a treat for anyone who loves gritty, jazzy boom-bap from the '90s. Those of you who listened to Lootpack's fantastic Soundpieces: Da Antidote might remember Kazi as a guest MC on "Frenz vs. Endz" and "Episodes." If he caught your attention, you probably checked out his EP with Madlib, 2000's Down for the Kaz.
But before all of that, Kazi and Madlib collaborated to create Blackmarket in 1996. And someone has just unearthed the project for us all to enjoy on this sunny afternoon. We only have streams of the tracks right now, but we'll update this post once a .zip file is released for the entire EP.
