Stream 26 Of Kanye West's First Beats

So it appears that Jensen Karp, a former Interscope signee and half of Los Angeles's Hype Men, was recently digging through his garage. And as he was searching through his old storage bins, something caught his eye. They were old beat CDs from Kanye West that date back to around 2001. This was before we all heard College Dropout and around when Yeezy's production was just starting to catch on through hits like Jay-Z's "This Can't Be Life."

Karp subsequently uploaded the CDs to his computer and, here, is sharing the first disc, which includes 26 never-before-heard beats. He had the following to say about what he found:

I think this collection of early Kanye beats shows you where he came from, even if it doesn't necessarily sound like 'Kanye' now. He kept at it and became the incredible producer he is today. I remember he even had to leave the studio sessions early, so he could make the last train back to his mom's house. He's come a long way, and I'm proud to have been around, even if for just a second at the start.

Head over to DJ Booth to listen. Unfortunately they are not available for download.
