Rock music is littered with unusual collaborations between disparate talents. A song on Michael Bolton’s unbearably mawkish Time, Love, and Tenderness was co-written with Bob Dylan. Jack White has collaborated with Alicia Keys on the new James Bond theme. And who can forget Ozzy Osbourne’s various attempts at forming a musical match with the Wu-Tang Clan, Crystal Method, and (yes, really) Miss Piggy? R&B star Ne-Yo is making a decent attempt at outdoing them all with his expressed desire to duet with the Lord of Darkness himself, Marilyn Manson. "I've wanted to work with him for ages and his people reached out to me when they heard,” Ne-Yo told newspaper the Daily Star. “People might think it's a strange collaboration, I don't,” he adds.
But don’t hold your breath if you’re expecting the singer of “Closer” to suddenly don black eyeliner and start singing about strangling babies. “You won't see me adopting his style. I don't think you'll ever see me in make-up,” he says, somewhat disappointingly. [Angryape]
