The reports that Howard Stern is being considered as a replacement for Simon Cowell on American Idol initially sounded like idle Hollywood chatter, but the man himself confirmed interest in the job. Saying that "there's not a better job in the world than judging a karaoke contest," Stern said that he would gladly take the gig for the low, low sum of $100 million. Given how annoyed people are with Idol, it probably wouldn't be too hard to get enough interested parties to donate Stern's salary. That way he works for four months, cuts loose, and we will never have to deal with the possibility of finding another Clay Aiken or Chris Daughtry again. [Rolling Stone]
If Stern replaces Simon on Idol as a judge, it's bye, bye Idol, for good! Fox should be and is crazy for even thinking about getting Howard Stern as a replacement! Fox, what is wrong with you????!!!! Are you that desparate.......UGH!!!!!!!!!

The only good thing that ever came out of AI was finding Clay Aiken and his wonderful voice.
