Stephen Malkmus Releasing Beck-Produced 'Mirror Traffic' Aug. 23
We learned last year that Stephen Malkmus was in the studio with Beck, though it wasn't clear just where their collaboration was headed. Would it be for the Pavement fronman's solo stuff with the Jicks? Or would it be something more related to Beck's career ? Well, it turns out that it's the former as Beck served as the producer for Malkmus and the Jicks' fifth album, Mirror Traffic. Details are pretty slim beyond that, though Pitchfork reports that this is the last time we will hear drummer Janet Weiss, formerly of Sleater-Kinney, on a Jicks record.
Mirror Traffic is due out Aug. 23 on Matador. You can view the album's artwork to the left.
