Stellastarr parts ways with RCA

New York new wave foursome Stellastarr has decided to part ways with RCA Records. The band had released both of its previous albums through the label, but has decided to seek out other avenues for its forthcoming third LP. Speaking on the matter, frontman Shawn Christensen had the following to say:
“This won’t affect the progress of our new record. We’re just really having fun writing it. Everything else will fall into place eventually. It was sad to watch a label that was doing perfectly fine on its own suddenly change their entire structure. Different people were running the show and we weren’t profiting from any of it.”
