Stax Records, the venerable Memphis imprint, has announced it will reissue Black Moses and Juicy Fruit, two Isaac Hayes classics, on February 24. The albums were originally released in 1971 and 1976, respectively, a successful time for Hayes, during which he won an Academy Award for the Theme from Shaft. In an effort to imitate the iconic design of Black Moses, the liner notebook of the reissue will fold out like the original album. Hayes, the lascivious baritone and South Park voiceover, passed away in August at the age of 65. [CMJ]
