Up-and-coming indie-dance-rockers Starfucker have decided to change their admittedly terrible name. But instead of just picking it on their own, they're soliciting new names at a gmail address (newnameideas@gmail.com) and at stops on their current tour. In an interview with Portland Music Journal the band confirmed that the name change is coming about mostly due to them wanting to get support tours on bigger bands' tours (which their name apparently excludes them from) and to be more mainstream friendly. Here's the message the band posted on MySpace:

Everyone knows our name sucks…so here is your chance to give us a new one.
The best thing about this new-name game is that we want YOU to help us come up with it.

There are two ways to vote for Starfucker’s new name.
