St. Vincent opens some dates on Death Cab For Cutie's tour

Accomplished guitarist, songwriter, and all-around good time gal Annie Clark, alias St. Vincent, will be opening up for melodramatic mega-act Death Cab for Cutie on the first four dates of their fall tour. If you're violently allergic to Ben Gibbard's clearly enunciated lyrics or something, and you live in New York, Austin, or go to Boston's School of the Museum of Fine Arts, then you're in luck! In addition to the dates with Death Cab, Ms. Clark will  be playing the aforementioned school, her pal Sufjan Stevens' Brooklyn Academy of Music Takeover, and Fun Fun Fun Fest in Texas before 2008 is out.

Good match. I hope she can handle those really aggressive, dangerous Death Cab crowds, though.
