St. Vincent And Others Doing Songs For 'Boardwalk Empire' Soundtrack

Because it's a big budget show on HBO, Boardwalk Empire has gathered a murderer's row of folky singers to reimagine songs from the 1920s for the new season's soundtrack. Most tantalizing to us, of course, is the fact that Annie Clark's St. Vincent project is joining Loudon Wainwright, Regina Spektor, Justin Townes Earle, Leon Redbone, and Martha Wainwright in covering the likes of Irving Berlin. David Johansen of the New York Dolls also recorded some songs for the show, too. The soundtrack will be out later this year. [130 BPM
