Squarepusher Takes Tour to America

Squarepusher will be playing both coasts of the United States this summer, as part of a world tour in support of his new album Ufabulum, his first in two years. The pragmatic purveyor of electronica has left critics largely divided with his latest offering, some praising it as densely layered genius, while others left confused with its splintered, uncompromising  sound and seeming lack of direction.  The album hits U.S. shores today, before the man himself arrives to play the HARD Summer Music Festival in Los Angeles. East coasters will have to wait until late October and the tour wraps up in Chicago on November 3.  However, don’t expect to hear much “live music” with Jenkinson noting that the music “is generated purely from programming. There’s no guitar or drums, there’s nothing in it which is live really at all.”
