Sure, it was hard for the Boss to swallow when "The Wrestler" was snubbed by the Academy and "Jai Ho" snatched his elusive second "Best Song" Oscar. The bitter, ashy taste that has no doubt polluted his every breath since the slight can finally be vanquished when the World Soundtrack Awards are handed out on October 17 at the closing ceremonies of the Ghent Film Festival. Springsteen not only gets another crack at his Slumdog Millionare foes, but can take on pale imitators Jamie Cullum and Don Runner, who aped Nebraska-era Bruce on "Gran Torino." And really, who needs a reason to go to Ghent anyway? [SlashFilm]
