With Transference set to drop Jan. 19, the members of Spoon have announced they will be setting out on a North American tour, beginning with a St. Patrick's Day show at Stubbs, in Austin, as part of the South by Southwest festivites. Deerhunter will be on board as the supporting act for the duration of the tour, prompting speculation that Bradford Cox may join in on a Spoon jam or two, as he did at the 2008 Pitchfork Festival.
Spoon will also be celebrating the release of "Transference" with an appearance on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, appropriately slated for Jan. 19. And if you can't wait until then to get a first taste, Transference is currently streaming on NPR, here.
