1997 was a great year for British Music. Not only did that year see the release of
Radiohead's OK Computer and The Verve's Urban Hymns, there was also Ladies
and Gentleman We Are Floating In Space, the magnum opus from Spiritualized which will be reissued on November 16.
The reissue will come in multiple sets. One, a single-disc with new packaging and different take of the title track that will feature Elvis' "Can't Help Falling In Love." The others are a Special Edition set that will include outtakes, remixes, and a capella versions of songs and come in pill-style case. Another set,"The Collector's Edition," will offer everything mentioned above in 12 mini CDs, except the bonus discs which will come in regular CD format.
In the U.K., Spirtiualized will also be playing the album in its sonic-entirety, accompanied by a gospel choir, horn section, and special guests,as part of its own tour and ATP's"Don't Look Back" series. So, if you have the means and aren't "too busy to be heartbroken"get to those shows.
