Spice Girls To Reunite At Olympics Closing Ceremony

Preceding London's Olympic Games, there were rumors swirling around that Oasis and the Spice Girls could reunite at the Olympics closing ceremony. Concerning Oasis, that seems like a hill of beans given the pure hatred the Brothers Gallagher have for each other.

But the Spice Girls? Those rumors might be true. NME reports on Sunday's closing festivities--"which will celebrate 50 years of British music"--and the fact that the Spice Girls have been photographed rehearsing for the event (the photo accompanies this post). If they do indeed perform, it will be the Girls' first show since 2008.

So far, only Muse, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, and George Michael have been officially confirmed as performers, though Queen's Brian May, Jessie J, Annie Lennox, Kate Bush, Kaiser Chiefs, Fatboy Slim, Madness, and Pet Shop Boys have all been rumored as well. Let's all hope they're wearing Union flag dresses together.
