Thom Yorke’s sudden announcement of two shows in Los Angeles on October 4 and 5 has naturally led to plenty of speculation about what he will play. Yorke will be joined by Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the shows, and drummer Mauro Refosco has been dropping hints about the set list.
According to Refosco, Yorke and his friends will play The Eraser in its entirety, although it’s unlikely that they will stop there. The track “Hearing Damage,” which appears on the New Moon soundtrack, is a possible inclusion, and Refosco claims four new songs will be played alongside one (as yet unknown) Radiohead tune.
Refosco is a Brazilian drummer who plays with the New York-based Forro in the Dark. He is also a regular member of David Byrne’s band, and he met Yorke while working with the former Talking Heads singer in London earlier this year. His musings on the Yorke solo shows are taken from this interview with Abril.com.
