One time pop sensation Britney Spears has been trying to get her feet under her of late with some television appearances and a filmed segment on Madonna’s upcoming tour, but she might just have found a comeback vehicle that could vault her straight back to the top of the heap. The singer is now attached to Quentin Tarantino’s remake of the Russ Meyer exploitation flick Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! According to an unnamed source close to the project, Spears would take on the role Varla, one of three thrill seeking go-go dancers who meet bad ends in a sexy desert showdown. Though this project is a long way from ever seeing the light of day, hopefully Tarantino can give Spears the type of career revival that John Travolta had after Pulp Fiction. And even if the project isn't exactly art, it might make a perfect double feature for those midnight showings of Showgirls. [The Daily Swarm]
