Last night’s episode of South Park skewered Kanye West for being egotistical, obsessed with fashion, and curiously unable to grasp the funniest joke of all time. Which is to say, for being himself. The joke in question came courtesy of Jimmy Vulmer Eric Cartman, via late-night television:

“Do you like fish sticks?”

“Yes.”

“What are you, a gay fish?”

It’s a good one, especially if you’ll notice the striking phonetic similarities between “fish sticks” and “fish dicks.” Kanye didn’t get that far, and seemed to take the punch line as a personal attack. So he set out on a rampage to clarify that he is a) not gay, b) not a fish, and c) an all-around genius. That’s just Kanye.
