Source Claims Propofol Caused Michael Jackson's Death

A law enforcement official has claimed that Michael Jackson’s doctor gave the singer the drug that ultimately ended his life. The doctor, Conrad Murray, allegedly gave Jackson Propofol to help him sleep, and administered the drug to him just 12 hours before his untimely passing in June.

The officer, who was speaking anonymously to the Associated Press, claims that Propofol was given to Jackson through an IV drip. Numerous oxygen tanks have been found at the singer’s home, which apparently tie in with his risky use of the drug—breathing problems, low heart rate and low blood pressure can result from the use of Propofol.

According to the report, Jackson would simply wake up when the drug was cut off from the IV by an outside source. Murray’s lawyer has issued a sensible statement, which simply reads: "We will not be commenting on rumors, innuendo or unnamed sources." The results of the singer’s toxicology tests are expected to be announced in the near future.
