Soulja Boy Working With Kanye West, Says Soulja Boy
Everyone's favorite sheet-destroyer Soulja Boy made a hell of a claim earlier this week: He says he and Kanye have been working together on West's Good Ass Job, and Kanye is apparently now a fan of Soulja's.
"When I was in the studio, I played him a couple of joints, and then he just said, 'Damn, he's really starting to go hard,'" Soulja Boy said. "And I was like, 'Yeah, you feel me?' ... Out of all the artists to get the go-ahead or the co-sign from, it was Kanye."
"Me working with him, collaborating on different beats. Him showing me a lot of stuff I didn't know. Me showing him a lot of stuff he didn't know. He had an ear for my sound. Of course I had an ear for all the stuff he did. Genius! You know what I mean?"
If this is true, this is some serious Def Jam-Interscope-cross-branding shit. Or Kanye-losing-his-motherfucking-mind type shit. I'm kind of curious what "Had an ear for all the stuff he did" means. Does Soulja Boy have an ear especially tuned to Kanye's hits? Does he have three ears? Or does that mean he likes Kanye. Because that's way different than understanding his beatmaking. I think Soulja Boy has some great songs, but he also has a lot of terrible ones.
This better be fake, Soulja Boy is one of the worst.... wait he's not a rapper, singer or good at anything, so i dont know what to call him, but he's one of the worst in the game right now, Kanye better not have him near the next album or it'll be a disapointment.

Personally...Soulja Boy's grown a bit since he started. A bit. And he does have a slight ear for what works, he tried singing the hook for Kiss Me Thru The Phone on autotune and thought it was garbage. Did you hear him on Pronto with Snoop? He was right.
