Sony brings Walkman to your phone

via Gizmodo
We've seen the two-faced Samsung Upstage, but Sony doesn't want you to forget their name when it comes to the latest music convergence devices. Their W880i lets you plug in an included 1 Gig memory stick (Sony's proprietary Memory Stick Micro, unfortunately) for playback in a slim candy bar phone that gets a reported 18 hours of music listening. The kit also comes with stereo headphones that double as a handsfree headset. Some people swear by the Sony Ericcson line of phones, so for them music playback just ices the cake.
One thing Sony definitely does right is accessories; they have a whole line of Bluetooth goodies that can hook up wirelessly to the phone for streaming audio, like the Music Receiver MBR-100 that hooks into a line-in headphone jack. Click the jump for a picture of the receiver with a car stereo deck.

The Sony Walkmen phones look sweet, but I don't think I know a single person that owns one

Nice design, but I'm sold on holding out for the iPhone.
