What with all the announcements of live performances of the album lately, we probably should have seen this coming: June 12 is slated for a reissue of Sonic Youth's seminal Daydream Nation. The re-release will be a two-CD set. Disc one contains all of the original album, remastered by the band, along with a demo version of "Eric's Trip." Disc two contains live versions of every song on Daydream Nation. It also includes the band tackling four very interesting covers, culled from various compilations and other rare releases: the Beatles' "Within You Without You," Neil Young's "Computer Age," Captain Beefheart's "Electricity," and Mudhoney's "Touch Me, I'm Sick."
