The gray hairs may keep on coming, but that’s not stopping veteran noise-rockers Sonic Youth from hitting the road. The band is still promoting its Matador debut, The Eternal, and has added a set of North American dates to the tour, beginning with a few West Coast shows in September.
The band members recently talked to Seattle Times music blogger Andrew Matson, whose fumbling video interview with the band has sparked widespread derision. To be fair to Matson, he wasn’t aware he was going to be interviewing the band until shortly before the cameras started rolling, but the cringe-inducing results are posted below.
