Songkick, the website that aggregates sortable concert listings has seen a huge growth in registered users after releasing a Spotify application version of its site. In just four months Songkick reports having signed up over 100,000 new users with the new application. This isn’t Songkick’s first attempt at integration with other services: it already has an iOS application and a recommendation system that uses last.fm, iTunes or Facebook likes for recommendations.
Recently Songkick has become a more proactive database by providing a forwarding service for artists who add their tour dates to the database. Songkick reports that it will share the tour information with artists’ sites on other services including Bandcamp and VEVO. [Hypebot]
