Pop-rock punching bags The Killers might be embracing the fact that, despite their legions of devoted fans, they annoy a lot of people. Nothing else could really explain why they chose to unleash a cover of the Eagles' "Hotel California" on an unsuspecting world. And just in case covering one of the other most annoying bands in the world wasn't enough, Brandon Flowers and the boys recruited Rhythms Del Mundo, an Afro-Cuban outfit, to accompany them and possibly create an international incident. The one saving grace is that the single is to aid the Artists Protect Earth charity. This is probably one of those cases, however, where making a donation for the heck of it is the right way to go.
