Solange, Janelle Monae To Guest On New Of Montreal Album

While her sister is out coddling ruthless dictators, Solange Knowles has been hard at work beating down the boundaries between hip hop and indie rock. Whether it’s covering indie rock standards, or dragging her sister and brother-in-law out to eye-opening live shows neither of them would have been caught dead attending of their own accord, the girl is seriously making moves. The Knowles sisters’ love affair with of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes in the press is old news (B mentioned Sol putting her onto of Montreal in an interview, then Kevin read it and wrote a song for her), but the latest news out of the of Montreal camp is that Solange will be a guest on their new album. There isn’t much in the way of concrete details on the album other than the involvement of Solange and R&B singer Janelle Monae, who sounds like a perfect fit for Barnes’ whacked out electro-pop stylings, and a tentative title, False Priest.
