It was announced earlier this year that Solange would be making her own label titled Saint Records, and she has now announced the first release on the label: a compilation called Saint Heron, out digitally, on vinyl and CD November 12. The album will feature 12 original songs from an unexpected and burgeoning list of R&B artists including Cassie, Petite Noir, Jade De La Fleur, Starchild, BC Kingdom, India Shawn, Iman Omari, and Solange herself.
Other artists on the list include Sampha, who was featured on Drake's bedroom burner "Too Much," and Jhene Aiko who provides the soulful vocals on Drake's "From Time." Another artist featured on Saint Heron is Kelela. She has received positive criticism for her mixtape Cut 4 Me, which has drawn comparisons to Aaliyah.
