Snoop Dogg Provides Voice for Satellite Navigation System

Getting directions from a satellite navigation system just got a little more interesting. Snoop Dogg has lent his voice to a VoiceSkin from TomTom, who supply celebrity voices for their GPS devices. Snoop is in good company—TomTom also offers a Homer Simpson VoiceSkin.

Some samples of Snoop in action are available from the website. “Keep left ahead, and you’ll be bona fide,” he says. “Turn around when possible and keep it ‘G’, ya d-i-g?” Does this actually help people drive? It actually sounds like it might make things more confusing.

The full Snoop sat nav package is available for a mere $12.95, and a couple of sample videos of his directions are available to listen to over here. You can even download Snoop’s favorite places in LA (and elsewhere) for the device, which include Waffle House, Roscoe’s Chicken N’ Waffles, Foot Locker and Best Buy.
