As we get deeper into 2011, it seems last year's Kanye West was more prescient than we had ever imagined. The G.O.O.D. Friday method of distribution, in particular, has been especially influential, with folks like Timbaland and now Snoop Dogg playing the role of copycat (see what I did there?), with his newly announced Puff Puff Pass Tuesdays, which is neither an alliterative title nor a play on words.
But no matter. Starting this week, Snoop will be releasing a song a week on his Twitter and Facebook pages, in advance of his upcoming 11th album, the Doggumentary, due out in March. Of course, what made the G.O.O.D. Friday releases interesting is that the songs were, well, good. Though I doubt the Doggumentary will be the next My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, at least it will give music bloggers something to do on Tuesdays.
