"Saturday Night Live"'s 39th season ended last night with a hilarious, heavily music-centered finale. Hosted by former SNL cast member Andy Samberg, the episode featured St. Vincent as the leading musical guest (performing "Digital Witness" and "Birth in Reverse" from her most recent album), as well as a number of other music-related treats.
Pharrell Williams joined Samberg's band the Lonely Island for a performance of their collaborative song, "Hugs." Rapper 2 Chainz had his own skit, which took place in a recording studio, and the amazing cast of SNL helped us get more insight into recent Jay-Z/Solange altercation, before bringing back Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's hypothetical talk show "Waking Up with Kimye." The episode was topped off with a hysterical satire on electro-house DJ culture, "WHEN WILL THE BASS DROP?," with Samberg as DJ Davvincii and a cameo from Lil John.
