Yeah, I watched it on Saturday night and I thought it was a weak attempt at something that's been beaten to death. Hell, even MadTV beat them to the punch. The Lawrence Welk skit was hilarious though - http://www.hulu.com/watch/37752/saturday-night-live-the-lawrence-welk-show |

I thought it could've been way funnier. |

Yeah it had potential but bombed. I'm not a big fan of that girl(actress). |

the show has been just awful lately. but i thought that was the second funniest sketch of the night (after mark wahlberg talks to animals). i changed my facebook status to "I saw a boat and I liked it." i was also severely amused by the line "but we didn't do any gay stuff." |

This was just a piece of filler thrown in after the second performance because the episode ran a bit short. Personally, I disagree that the show's been bad lately and think that there's a lot of great stuff going on. The problem is that the writing has gone heavily towards meta-jokes and winking at the fourth wall and a lot people just plain don't respond to that. I'm still a big fan though. |
