Well, it's definitely official now. The Smashing Pumpkins (whoever they happen to be these days) announced via a MySpace bulletin today (yes, we receive these) that the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins album has a title and a release date. You can pick up your copy of Zeitgeist, on July 7. To the attentive amongst you, yes, that's a Saturday. No, we don't understand it either. Apparently a release date of 07-07-07 is worth breaking the rules of the music industry for. Still no word on a tracklist, or, you know, who's in the band of anything.

He'll be fine...like I said before....the Pumpkins were his band anyway....Iha and D'Arcy are interchangeable....having them there would be for aesthetic purposes only. |

I agree that D'Arcy is disposable but, Iha, he is quite the player. Iha is the one responible for most of the super hooky riffs that has made the pumpkin sound what it is. That said, I am still having a hard time getting excited about a "reunion". The pumpkin angst just doesn't have the same affect on me as it did when I was a younger lad. |

**** all of you. the smashing pumpkins rock hard. |

Who cares. It's only half the original line up and would never have happened if his solo effort did well. He'd be better off eloping with Courtney at least he'd make a splash in the gossip columns 'cause he won't make one with this project.
