For the past several months, Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin has been keeping us abreast of the progress on his band's comeback disc via myspace, but now the band's webmistress is getting into it.
The Pumpkin Queen, as she oh-so-cleverly refers to herself, promises that we'll be able to catch the band this summer at some European festivals. They just aren't sure which festivals quite yet. Stay tuned for more info.
As for Chamberlin, his latest missive he informed us that the drums have been recorded and that the band "have been very busy carving up the sonic landscape with oceans of guitars and a sea of fuzz bass. We are four songs deep and about a hundred guitars in!" Still now word on who these mystery-Pumpkins are besides Chamberlin and Corgan, but that's half the fun.
