At the smashing pumpkins show I was at just last week, security was actively removing people attempting to "mosh". It was quite refreshing and let me enjoy the show even at close range. Its a same that something like this has to happen to reinforce the stupidity of "moshing". |

wow. that's sad... and pathetic. even on the siamese dream tour i wouldn't have thought about moshing at a pumpkins show. but then again, i saw a mosh pit at a spin doctors concert (it was a free show, shut up). |

Stopping people who want to mosh? Thats just lame. Moshing is part of a concert. People mosh, and I enjoy it too from time to time, eventhough i rather stay out of them. If you cant enjoy a concert at close range because of a moshpit, youre doing something wrong. Usually theres a group of people, then the moshpit, then the rest of the people at a far range. Just get in front of it... its the same as I do, and its safe of moshpits. If people die in moshpits, their stupid fault. Would you feel sorry if someone gets burnt if they play with fire? They know the concequences and they agree with them by entering the moshpit. Not moshing at concerts is like not dancing at other types of music. I play in a band, and if there are no moshpits, its not a successful show, even if everyone says it was awesome, im not satisfied. And its not just me, its all artists who play in bands that you can mosh to. |

wow. looks like my mom was right after all...
