Slipknot: Unlikely Susan Boyle Fans

Everyone loves Susan Boyle, right? Her performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Misérables on Britain’s Got Talent became an Internet sensation in April. Her collapse from exhaustion, and subsequent stint in a private psychiatric clinic in London, only heightened interest in Boyle—even causing Prime Minister Gordon Brown to wish her well.

Now, an unlikely Boyle fan has emerged in the shape of Corey Taylor from oppressive nu-metal band Slipknot. When he’s not eating babies, Taylor likes to kick back and enjoying a fresh blast of “I Dreamed a Dream.” In a recent interview, he said: “Susan Boyle is incredible.”

“Somebody told me about the show and I said, 'I have got to see this - I Dreamed A Dream, are you kidding me?' I put it on and she was fantastic. The people on that panel were in tears! When Susan leans into it she's great. She's a little bit crazy, but aren't we all? Anyone who's worth their salt is a little bit bent out of shape.” So, there you have it. Even Slipknot aren’t immune to the Boyle phenomenon.
