Slayer Working On New Album
Earlier this year, Slayer postponed working on a new album after revealing that guitarist Jeff Hanneman was suffering from a flesh-eating disease. But it appears that he's doing better, because drummer Dave Lombardo recently announced on his Twitter that they are indeed moving forward with a new album. With a pithy tweet of "SLAYER is writing a new record," Lombardo quickly sent the metal world into a tizzy. Rightfully so, as the currently untitled project will serve as their first release since November 2009's great World Painted Blood. [NME]
