Slayer Guitarist Has Flesh Eating Disease

Holy crap this is weird: Slayer will be touring with a fill-in guitarist because longtime guitarist (and co-founding member) Jeff Hanneman has FLESH EATING DISEASE (!). Technically it’s known as necrotizing fasciitis and it is very not good. It basically does exactly what you might expect, which is to completely destroy layers of skin and subcutaneous fat and tissue. Doctors are guessing the affliction was caused by a spider bite, and Hanneman will undergo surgery on his right arm soon, to remove infected flesh and tissue.

Fascinating story, and good luck to Hanneman. Slayer, in the coming days, will announce the guitarist's fill-in for their upcoming summer dates. [NME]

I wish him a speedy recovery. Furthermore I congratulate him on contracting the most METAL disease out there.
