Slash suing Sotheby's over anemic party pit
A judge in Los Angeles ruled that a lawsuit brought by ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and his wife against their real estate agency can go forward. At issue is a house that Slash purchased in 2006 and later sold, because it just wasn't big enough for the kind of parties that he and his wife wanted to throw. The lawsuit, which seeks over a million dollars in damages, says that the real estate agents misrepresented the size of the house and failed to mention that it was located on a street with parking restrictions that further hampered getting a few hundred of the nearest and dearest together. Though our hearts immediately go out to Slash, because who doesn't know the heartbreak of having a house too small for a really huge party, but it seems as though before sinking some major money in Los Angeles real estate, Slash and his wife might given the house a more thorough walk-through. ...and I want to sue Cheerios because they say eating it will help to lower my cholesteral! Not! This is absurd. People sue over anything in this country...and get away with it! This rocker should have used his own eyes & ears to determine if he could give "his" type of parties in the house; if his guest couldn't park on the street, there are private companies that offer valet parking. The real estate industry is going thru enough issues right now to have to put up with bad press like this. Note, I am a real estate broker; I bet the mls agreement stated: Not all information deemed relieable (pretty standard).

I feel your pain Rich, but understand they don't. All will be well soon my friend.

And what about that stripper who is suing her strip club because she got drunk from drinks from customers, attempted to drive herself home, wrecked, and broke her back. The law system in America is one of the big reasons the economy is in the toilet. Companies waste so much money every year on attorney fees to deal with these ridiculous lawsuits!
