New Six Organs of Admittance album in November

November 20 is the scheduled release date for the new album from Six Organs of Admittance. Entitled Shelter From the Ash, it will be released via Drag City. "Six Organs," which sounds plural, is actually the project of one main man, Ben Chasny. You may also know Chasny from his guitar work in Comets on Fire, Current 93, and about one gazillion other bands. Since Chasny has spread his rocking talent around, it comes as no surprise to find that many fellow musicians returned the favor on Shelter. The album features guest help from the likes of indie rock legend Matt Sweeney, Tim Green from the Fucking Champs, Elisa Ambrogio from the Magik Markers, and Chaney's Comets bandmate Noel Harmonson.
For now, Six Organs of Admittance only has a short string of West Coast in-store performances scheduled, but Chasny and whoever he rounds up to play with him are expected to tour more extensively early next year. Follow on after the jump for those in-store dates...
