Six degrees of Bob Dylan

Internet contests are the thing right now. How entertaining. One could waste serious time participating in all of them.
The latest is "Six degrees of Bob Dylan." Branching off from the popular "Six degrees of Kevin Bacon," players must link Dylan to other public figures in as few steps as possible. The contest is being hosted here, where every few days a new name will be put up of the person you have to connect Dylan to. This is an example from the site, linking Mr. Zimmerman to Ms. Condoleeza Rice:
1. Condi used to work for Chevron
2. Guitarist Philip Chevron played for the Pogues.
3. The Pogues toured with Dylan in 1990.
The rules state, "The connections must be legitimate but they can be drawn from anywhere: movies, music, television, politics, etc. Particularly creative connections will be highlighted." The contestant who makes each connection in the fewest steps will win a copy of Bob's latest, Modern Times. Anyone who writes in with a correct entry will be eligible for the grand prize, Dylan's complete Columbia discography.
