David Byrne, Ricky Gervais, more on Simpsons comp

Simpsons mania is in the air, and I'm not talking about Jessica and Ashlee. No, as the long-awaited Simpsons movie prepares to finally hit big screens, scads and scads of tie-ins are inevitable. This one though, unlike 7-11s turning into Kwik-E-Marts and Burger King using Homer to shill for Whoppers, isn't officially tied to the movie. The Simpsons: Testify is instead more connected to the TV series, as it bundles a bunch of original songs that have been featured in episodes over the years. Artists contributing to the compilation include David Byrne, Ricky Gervais, Los Lobos, "Weird" Al Yankovic, Jackson Browne, the B-52s, and Shawn Colvin. The Shout! Factory album's September 18 release date coincides with the premiere of The Simpsons' astounding nineteenth season on Fox.
Continue on after the jump for Testify's tracklist.
