You'll probably be hearing a lot about and from New York City noise rockers Sightings in coming months. The band is scheduled to drop its new album, Through the Panama (cover at left), October 28. The record's release will be handled not by just one awesome indie label, but by two; Load will be putting it out on CD, while Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace will carry vinyl copies. A man who knows a thing or two about rocking awesomeness, Andrew W.K., produced Through the Panama. (We're guessing the album's name is referencing a certain important Western Hemisphere canal.) It's the band's sixth full-length, and you can currently stream it here.So there you go: ways you can hear Sightings on CD, vinyl, and digitally. What's that? You want yet another way to hear the band? Then you should check out one of the handful of October dates Sightings has announced. Details on those after the jump...
